Stains were quite frequent throughout this apartment Carpet Clean. In order to effectively clean and restore the carpeted areas, the process used was as follows:
1. Thoroughly Pre-vacuum with Hepa Filter Commercial Vacuum Cleaner.
2. Heavily Pre-Spray main traffic areas including stains using KB4 with Citrus Scent Deodoriser.
3. Agitate all stains and main areas with powered Brush Head to grind into the soiled areas.
4. Dwell time approximately 30 minutes (setup in the meantime)
5 Extract all areas using our low moisture 'Hot Carbonation Extraction Deep Cleaning' method with Natural V PH Neutral Solution. Repeat where necessary. Steam & Heat is used in the process to effectively speed up & remove stains and dirt.
6. Buff down all areas using a Rotary Scrubber with pad to bring out further dirt and assist in drying.

Commercial Carpet that has obviously been heavily stained. Some shots after the pre-spray/agitate and extraction process has taken place. still requires buffing and time to dry so the carpet will restore once it settles.

Chem-Dry decided to not only test allergen removal from carpets, but also allergen removal from upholstery and our ability to remove bacteria from the home. The study was conducted in a cross-section of consumer homes in the U.S. and abroad, using the HCE process along with a pre-spray.
Here are the results from the final report:
We remove an average of 98.1% of common household allergens from carpets and upholstery (combined). The common household allergens we tested were cat dander, dog dander and dust mite allergen. This broke down further into the respective service lines as follows:
o We remove an average of 97.4% of allergens from carpets
o We remove an average of 99.1% of allergens from upholstery
· We remove an average of 89.0% of the airborne bacteria in the home, showing that we have a significant impact on improving indoor air quality. This test incorporated the addition of a sanitizer to the cleaning process.

Carpet Cleaners suggest you fill a spray bottle with water and spritz it over the dents. Then use a blow-dryer, on the hottest setting, to blow air over any moistened areas. (The heat helps wool and nylon carpet rebound.) Fluff up fibers with your fingers.
My personal favorite is put an ice cube in each indentation, and let cubes slowly melt. Wait 12 hours, blot up wet spots, then use the edge of a spoon to lift carpet fibers back up. Or steam away dents: Place a clean, damp cloth over them and hold an iron, on medium heat, several inches above the cloth for about 30 to 60 seconds. Don't let the iron touch the carpet -- it could burn! Brush up fibers with a coin.
